The ANJ’s mediation service aims to settle disagreements between players and gaming operators, including exclusive license holders like **Française des Jeux** and **PMU**. Initially, consumers must attempt to resolve their issues directly with the operator by submitting a formal complaint. If the operator fails to respond within 20 days or if the response is deemed unsatisfactory, the issue can then be escalated to the mediator.

In 2023, the **Médiateur** processed 1,523 mediation requests, with a notable 91% related to sports betting. However, 752 requests were considered inadmissible because 89% of those consumers did not initially file a formal complaint with the operator. Of the cases that were admissible, roughly one-third were resolved fully or partially in favor of the complainants.
