Betsson shifts management team as group CEO and CFO added

Betsson AB has restructured its management team with the addition of operational CEO Jesper Svensson and operational CFO Kristian Saliba to the top team.

The restructure will see Svensson and Saliba join Betsson AB CEO Pontus Lindwall and CFO Martin Öhman in the group management structure.

Triin Toomemets-Krasnitski has also been promoted to chief legal officer and remains on the five-person executive body.

Toomemets-Krasnitski joined Betsson in January 2013 as a senior legal counsel before being named head of legal in August 2016.

The exec was then promoted to vice-president of legal in July 2018 and will now step into a C-suite role for the first time in her career.

The reshuffle has seen Betsson vice-president of global tax Amandus Jabin and vice-president of communications and investor relations Roland Glasfors step away from the management team.

Jabin has been with the Stockholm-listed firm for more than 12 years, having worked his way up the tax team since joining as a global tax manager in October 2012 from PwC.

He was named global head of tax in July 2015 and vice-president of the division three years later in July 2018.

Glasfors has been with the Rizk parent company since May 2022 when he moved to the operator after a spell with payments firm Trustly as head of investor relations.

Both Jabin and Glasfors will continue in their respective roles, EGR understands.

Their replacements in Svensson and Saliba are also Betsson stalwarts, with the former having served as group CEO since December 2017.

He had served as chief commercial officer of Betsson’s Malta subsidiary prior to stepping up to the CEO role.

Saliba has been with the business for 17 years and in situ as group CFO since 2012.

Betsson’s shares remained flat on the news, down 1% at the close of trading on 13 January to SEK139.4.
