The Buffalo Bills at New York Jets is the Monday Night Football game of the NFL Week 6. There are several reasons why this is supposed to be a real thriller, starting with the fact that both teams are eager to start winning again.

Each team lost their last two games, and the poor run wasn’t tolerated by the Jets’ owner Woody Johnson who decided to fire coach Robert Saleh.

Over in Buffalo, the situation isn’t as troublesome, with Sean McDermott’s job still pretty much secure. However, that might change after the Bills vs. Jets Week 6 game.

Buffalo Bills Need to Pull Themselves Together

The Buffalo Bills are 3-2 in the 2024 NFL, which may not seem too bad, but the thing is that both of their losses happened in the last two game weeks. First, they suffered a shocking loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Sure, losing to the Ravens in 2024 isn’t embarrassing, but they got hammered that night, losing 35:10. The worst thing is that their quarterback Josh Allen, who’s otherwise very reliable, threw for zero touchdowns. It was only the second time since 2022 that none of his passes resulted in a TD.

In the Bills loss to the Texans, Josh Allen was 1/15 on passes 10+ yards down the field, per NFL Pro

He did slightly better in the following game, throwing for one TD, but that wasn’t enough for his team to get back on the winning track. The Bills lost 23:20 to the Houston Texans.

Failing to score more than 20 points is something that happens rarely to these guys, especially not two times in a row. In fact, the last time it happened was almost exactly a year ago.

Fast Times in New York Giants Locker Room

The New York Giants are 2-3, but that’s not good enough for Woody Johnson. The franchise owner wants more from his team, and he wants it now.

We understand why that is the case. The Jets have legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the roster but given that he’s turning 41 in less than two months, it’s clear that his NFL time is ticking away.

The Jets’ relatively poor performance prompted the owner to fire Robert Saleh. Boss Woody will probably look for a high-profile coach to put in charge, but until he finds one, the Jets’ defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich will serve as interim head coach.

His first-ever game as a head coach is the Monday Night Football game against the Bills. How will he cope?

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets Prediction

The Bills vs. Jets odds have started moving against the New Yorkers and we completely understand why. The interim coach has zero experience with leading the team on the big stage. Plus, the Bills will probably go all-in in the MNF game in order to end their losing run. As a result, we should see a comfortable win for the visitors.

Pick: Buffalo Bills -2.5
