PA Media Group has named former LiveScore Group exec Josh Sparke as the new managing director for its Podium sports and betting data arm.
Podium, which rebranded from PA Betting Services in November, counts the likes of Flutter, evoke and bet365 as partners.
Sparke will replace former managing director, Eugene Delaney, who stepped down from his role last year. He remains with the business as an adviser.
Delaney has since been named COO at London-based Make Agency, serving clients including IBM, Disney and EMI.
Sparke moves to the supplier after almost six years with LiveScore Group across a trio of roles.
He first joined the privately owned business in June 2019 as a business development manager before stepping up to head of procurement in March 2020.
Then, in December 2022, Sparke was appointed as director of procurement and business development.
The new Podium boss also spent time with Gamesys, Global Tote and BetMakers earlier in his career.
He will officially join as Podium managing director on 1 March.
Sparke said: “PA Media Group has a proud and reputable history and has been at the heart of [horse]racing for over 40 years.
“I’m fortunate to be inheriting a strong team from Eugene and I’m joining Podium at an exciting time, following its acquisition of iRace and significant investments in product and technology.
“We have a strong foundation for innovation, partnerships and sustainable growth in the UK and internationally. I look forward to making Podium a global leader in racing and sports betting content.”
Gareth Bramall, PA Media Group chief strategy officer, added: “Following a rigorous selection process with exceptional candidates, Josh stood out.
“He brings extensive industry experience, passion for sport and has a clear vision of growth for Podium.”
