Kaizen Gaming has announced the launch of ‘The Playmakers: Commercial Talent Programme’, a scheme designed to fast-track future industry leaders.
The initiative, which is already welcoming applications from candidates, has been designed to prepare the sector’s “next generation of professionals who will lead and shape the future of the online gaming industry”.
The Betano parent company has outlined how successful applicants, referred to as ‘Playmakers’, will be granted the opportunity to accelerate their careers by working first-hand on projects across several business segments, including marketing, CRM and commercial.
Lasting two years in total, the scheme will see its participants initially based out of Kaizen’s headquarters in Athens, Greece.
Successful applicants will then have the chance to take on two international assignments in European and South American markets where Kaizen’s Betano brand boasts a significant presence.
Betano is live in several Latam markets, including Colombia, Brazil and Argentina, where it recently penned a front-of-shirt sponsorship with River Plate.
The company’s presence in Europe extends across the UK, Belgium, Portugal and several other nations.
Each candidate will receive training and development resources, as well as “dedicated mentoring” from senior figures within the Kaizen commercial hierarchy.
Candidates will require a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, economics or other related discipline from a recognised university, as well as one to three years of relevant work experience.
A master’s degree or MBA is recognised as a bonus, while candidates must be fluent in English and have a grasp of either Spanish or Portuguese.
Kaizen has noted it is searching for “citizens of the world”, which it defines as “proactive problem solvers”, all of whom must hold either an EU passport or EU work permit.
Julio Iglesias Hernando, Kaizen’s chief commercial officer, said: “As one of the world’s leading companies in GameTech, we are always on the lookout for exceptional talent to shape our future.
“Our fast-track global talent programme offers a unique opportunity to explore and experience the business through one of the most dynamic commercial departments in the industry.
“Working alongside senior leaders in an international environment and contributing to the growth of a globally recognised sports brand like Betano, is an opportunity like no other.”
