Global payments firm Paysafe has appointed Marianne Heiss as an independent non-executive board director and a member of the company’s Audit Committee.
Heiss brings extensive finance and branding experience amassed over her almost 30-year career.
She currently serves as a member of the supervisory board across several automotive brands including Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen where she also works as a member of the company’s Audit Committee.
In addition to those roles, Heiss holds a position on the supervisory board of travel company Flix, where she is also the chair of the firm’s Audit Committee.
Previously, Heiss spent 10 years at advertising agency BBDO’s Germany branch from June 2013 to April 2023.
There she held the title of CFO from June 2013 to February 2019, before moving up to the CEO role in March 2019.
In the early part of her career, Heiss spent 17 years at BBDO Worldwide working in various roles across her tenure including finance director (1996-2002), CFO for BBDO Stuttgart, Berlin and Düsseldorf (2006-1010), and European finance director (2010-2013).

Heiss’ appointment takes Paysafe up to 10 directors on its board, whose expertise spans across payments, banking, technology, igaming, entertainment, legal and regulatory affairs, capital markets and M&A.
