Superbet has named former Betclic manager Emanuele Saroli as the operator’s new head of affiliates.
In his new role, Saroli will oversee the firm’s affiliate programme and marketing team across multiple markets.
He arrives at the Bucharest-headquartered company after a near- four-year stint as Betclic Group’s acquisition manager for Italy.
He joined Betclic in May 2021 after a brief spell as market director for Boss. Gaming Solutions.
During his time with the Banijay Gaming brand, he was tasked with expanding the operator’s customer base and spearheading all customer acquisition marketing activities.
Saroli’s other most significant roles within the sector include a seven-year period rising up the ranks of Betsson Group’s affiliate arm.
Arriving in March 2013 as the key affiliate manager for the Italy segment, he departed in March 2020 as the interim head of affiliates for the entire group.
He also counts junior affiliate roles with evoke (then 888), Full Tilt Poker, Betfair and Cogetech on his CV.
Taking to LinkedIn to confirm his new role, Saroli wrote: “I’m happy to share that I’ve joined Superbet as head of affiliates.
“[I’m] super excited to bring my experience and commitment to help driving results for such a dynamic, ambitious and innovative company.”
His arrival comes at a promising time for Superbet, with the operator named as one of Brazil’s first licensed operators.
Superbet’s licence cost BRL30m and it will be valid in the market for a period of five years.
The licence will also permit Superbet to enter as many as three commercial brands in the Brazilian market.
Superbet has also made another notable hire last September, recruiting former Sky Betting and Gaming head Marcus Berry to lead the operator’s in-play trading team.
